“Perception”
Whether your a signed or unsigned artist, perception and professionalism should be apart of your daily persona. I think it was 2 years ago when my brother told me, “Hey, even if you haven’t made it yet, you have to look like you have.” Man, was that statement true because we live in such a materialistic world that the average business man or associate will definitely take you more serious if they percieve your about something. I know it sucks, but u wouldn’t go to work looking like a bum and artists need to treat there craft the same. When you go out be aware of your image now; that way when you blow the tranisition will be alot easier. Also, this is the entertainment business where once a persons image slips, there career seems to follow. Its unfortuante, but perception can be your best friend if you can pull it off and no I’m not saying it like you have to trick people. If your an artist with true ambition to make it you will make sure the public perceives you as someone to pay attention to. Maybe one day you’ll have the paparazzi knocking on your door, car, studio and anything else they can squeeze into.

“Determination”
Do you Posses that extra hunger, angry, strength, and courage to make it in this business? Well, you better because this game is a rat race, so there’s no room for slackers. Everyday I rag my brain thinking of new networking and promotion techniques to out think friends and even opponents. When I work out for an hour and a half 3 to 4 times a week, I am looking to be healthier, stronger, and more focused then the next man. Besides that, I want to be one of the, if not the best performer in the world someday. The things I want to do on stage take alot of stamina, so I push myself and pretty much train like I’m playing my old love; “Football.” See, I think that’s where I learned my determination, but then again I always had a drive to be successful like my brother. All in all, I have my parents to think the most because being an army brat, (which I wasn’t, figure of speech I know, I know, just get back to the blog, my bad) you really had to be determined to find balance in moving every two years, making new friends, proving yourself in sports, and most of all school. In closing I will say this, determination is not something I believe your born with; I think the journey to find your place in this world should have you determined enough!!!

If your a musician or have aspirations to make it big in the entertainment field, you have to become friends with these bloggers out here. They are regular people just like you and I, but they love to spread news and talk about Celebrity Gossip, HipHop, Current events and alot more. I’m friends with numerous bloggers around the net and because I do HipHop I reach out to the one’s cover that particular genre. Some have hit me up, others I find on my own, but its truly like the cliche’ phrase your looking for “A needle in the hay stack.” Still, I don’t limit myself and I have managed to become friends with bloggers in Russia, Japan, Australia, Sweden and more. People, we have to utilize the internet, its no holds barred, no boundaries, a networking device that is only going to get larger as we feed it information.
